In a heartfelt announcement, Parsons unveiled the launch of the “Sherelle & Terrence Parsons Foundation”, a philanthropic initiative named after his parents, aimed at improving the lives of poor children across Africa.
The foundation’s mission focuses on expanding access to education and healthcare, particularly in underserved rural areas. Parsons, whose heritage traces back to West Africa, spoke emotionally at the foundation’s launch in Accra, Ghana, where local leaders and families gathered to witness what many are calling a new era of hope for children across the region.
“My parents taught me strength and purpose — now I want to use what I’ve been given to uplift others. Africa is in my blood, and this is how I honor both my family and my future,” Parsons said.
The foundation has already begun construction on a tech-enabled secondary school in Ghana, as well as a regional health center focused on maternal and pediatric care. Additional programs will include a youth sports-and-leadership camp, scholarship funds for girls in STEM, and mobile health outreach in underserved regions.
Inspired by his bold vision and personal commitment, many in the community have started referring to Parsons as the “Elon Musk of Africa” — not for building rockets, but for launching hope and opportunity where it’s needed most.
