While the whole of America was preparing for Christmas, Patrick Mahomes walked out of the practice field with a quiet look in his eyes. No one knew that in his heart at that time was not a game plan… but a deep longing for his little sister – Skylar, who passed away on the day he signed his first contract with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Skylar was born with a congenital heart disease. Ever since she was a child, she had to go in and out of the hospital constantly.

She loves football. And she loves her brother.
