The Green Bay Packers enter the 2025 season with one of the youngest and most talented offensive cores in the NFL. Yet even in a high-ceiling unit like this, every player has a specific area where they can elevate their game. Whether it’s cleaning up ball security, increasing efficiency, or simply demanding more volume, improvement across the board could be what takes Green Bay from playoff hopeful to Super Bowl contender.
Here’s one key area of improvement for each offensive starter in 2025:
Jordan Love – Completion Percentage
While Jordan Love can make highlight-reel throws, the routine ones have sometimes escaped him. His adjusted completion percentage remains below league average, and although it improved slightly from 2023 to 2024, drops from receivers hurt his overall numbers.
To become an elite QB, Love needs to make the easy throws look easy and raise his efficiency, especially on short-to-intermediate routes. A small gain here could have a massive ripple effect on the Packers’ offense.
Josh Jacobs – Fumbles
Jacobs remains a physical, chain-moving back, but five fumbles in 2024, including drive-killing turnovers against the Colts and Vikings, highlight a ball security issue. Ranking in just the 28th percentile in fumbles per carry, Jacobs must protect the football better if he’s to anchor Green Bay’s backfield long-term.
Jayden Reed – Drops
Reed took a step forward in many areas, but his drop rate ranked 108th out of 112 qualified receivers in 2024. That’s a major concern for someone being counted on as a primary option. A rebound in catch consistency could unlock his full breakout potential in 2025.
Romeo Doubs – Drops
Doubs is a trusted target for Love in crunch time, but he must become more dependable overall. He’s finished in the bottom 26th percentile for drop rate in two of his three seasons. While he excels in contested catches, the routine ones must be automatic if he’s to become a reliable possession receiver.
Dontayvion Wicks – Contested Catches
Wicks is a smooth route-runner but lacks elite speed, meaning separation is harder to come by. To maximize his impact, he needs to improve in contested catch situations, particularly against tight man coverage. That’s where his frame must become an advantage.
Christian Watson – Target Volume
Watson looks like a true WR1 on paper, but his 3.53 targets per game in 2024 ranked just fourth among Packers receivers. While target share is partially out of his control, Green Bay must find ways to get the ball in his hands more often to tap into his explosive ability.
Tucker Kraft – Downfield Receiving
Kraft became a go-to option in 2024, but most of his work came near the line of scrimmage. To unlock his full potential, he needs to be used more on intermediate and vertical routes, complementing his YAC skills with deeper threat capability.
Luke Musgrave – Missed Tackles
Despite elite athleticism, Musgrave often struggles to break tackles and gain yards after contact. He needs to become more physically assertive after the catch, rather than relying solely on scheme or open space to make plays.
Rasheed Walker – Run Blocking
Walker has emerged as a reliable pass protector, but ranks in the 15th percentile for zone run blocking and 36th percentile for gap schemes. If the Packers want a more balanced offense, Walker must improve his physicality in the run game.
Zach Tom – Quarterback Hurries
Tom has been excellent overall, but 33 hurries in 2023 and 22 in 2024 suggest room for refinement. Cleaning up low-quality pressures would push him closer to All-Pro status.
Elgton Jenkins – Penalties
A stabilizing force on the line, Jenkins must cut down on mental errors. Ten penalties in 2024 put him in the bottom-third percentile since 2023. Improved discipline will go a long way for the veteran.
Aaron Banks – Quarterback Hurries
Like Tom, Banks allows few sacks but too many hurries (77 since 2022), often disrupting the rhythm of the offense. Sharpening his pass set technique could be a major upgrade for Green Bay’s interior line.
Sean Rhyan – Hits and Sacks
Unlike his linemates, Rhyan doesn’t give up many hurries but allows high-impact losses. His eight QB hits and four sacks in 2024 show he must lose less disastrously when beat. Lowering that damage is critical in 2025.
Final Thought: Margins Matter in Title Hunts
The Packers are talented, young, and hungry — but in the NFL, championships are often won on the smallest margins. If each of these starters can tighten up just one flaw, Green Bay could evolve from exciting to unstoppable.
